Kamelia Pezeshki

Born in Iran in 1963, Kamelia Pezeshki holds a BFA from the University of Utah. She is a seasoned fine art photographer with a strong exhibition history who values engagement with her medium from start to finish. Currently the manager of ARTA Gallery, a key venue for contemporary art in Toronto’s Distillery District, and formerly a managing partner of Elevator Gallery for fine photography, Pezeshki’s gallery savvy is complemented by hands-on experience printing, framing, and installing photography. An active member of the photography collectives Photo Junction and 4 x 5, her work can be found in the collection of the Utah Museum of Fine Arts. Informed by a diverse professional background and cultivated aesthetic, she considers photography a tool for communication and looks forward to exploring new photography projects.
